I've started over with transitioning...Now, I'm more serious than ever. One of my best friends is transitioning with me!! I now have support from a very responsible and driven person. I grease my scalp every other day to speed up the process. My hair grows super fast when I keep my scalp well oiled; however, due to the fact that my hair is at a length where I can't really do much with it, I think i may cut it. I shall keep you updated with my progress! **~~Ciao Bella~~**

The Beginning of Something Beautiful!
Hello, everyone!! Well, i decided about 4 weeks ago to go au naturale! It was a daunting task because I wasn't sure how to go about doing it. I had long, luscious waves when I was younger, and it was very easy to keep up. Of course, I begged my grandmother to perm my virgin hair when I was only 12. And that was the beginning of the end of my beautiful hair. For about a year, my grandmother cared for my hair, and then it was left up to me. Of course, I had absolutely no idea how to care for it. With natural hair you could use water and grease and get away with beautiful styles. With relaxed hair, you could do no such thing without suffering severe breakage. My hair went from long to short very quickly. By the time I was 13, I was nappy headed with uneven hair and no general idea of how to care for it and style it. This continued through high school. I didn't truly learn how to do my hair until about 8 months ago. But i was saddened with how thin my hair had become and how weak, fragile, and brittle it was and still is.
That is why I made the decision to go natural. Right now, I'm not sure if I want to do the BC or not. I honestly don't care if I do because I'm confident with the way that I look and I am enjoying life. And besides, if I did it and didn't like the outcome, I could easily get sew-ins and see rapid growth. For those of you ladies out there who are indeed transitioning, don't give up. The first few months will be torturous because there isn't too much that you can do to your hair. I am greatly considering getting kinky twists; however, I will tell the girl doing my hair that my edges are to be left out, and that i don't want my hair too tightly done. That way, I wont' incur any balding on my edges, and also no thinning of my hair because of breakage from too tightly done extensions. I will do my very best to keep everyone updated on my progress and the products that I use. Ta-ta for now!!
